Palmolive "Baby" V. Dapple

Happy New Year guys! I'm so glad you all came into 2015 with me. Today I will be doing the first of, what I hope to be, many product comparisons here at 1 Natural Mommy. This post will give you a full product description, a list of pros and cons and an actual review of the two products. So let's dive in!
Today's comparison is: Palmolive Baby dish detergent vs. Dapple baby dish detergent

Palmolive Baby Ultra Concentrated Dish Wash Liquid:

  • Claims to, "keep every dish, bottle, utensil or glass your family uses sparkling clean. Families have trusted Palmolive for generations for its effective, gentle cleaning power. Palmolive Ultra baby bottles toy and dish wash liquid, 25 fl oz doesn't contain any unnecessary ingredients, like heavy fragrances or dyes, that can irritate a baby's delicate constitution. The soap is hypoallergenic, phosphate-free and Kosher certified, for even greater peace of mind. The baby bottle wash liquid comes in an easy-squeeze bottle with an applicator tip for easy us".

I used Palmolive Baby for the first 6 months of my son's life. I wanted something that didn't have any harsh chemicals or dyes. I really got it because it said that it removes milk residue. Then I read the back and it only specifically removes cow's milk and formula residue. I thought it worked fine. I liked that it could be used for toys as well. The only con is that it doesn't list the ingredients on the bottle.

Dapple Baby Bottle & Dish Liquid:

  • $6.59 for 16.9 fl oz on Diapers.com
  • Claims to, "clean baby bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers and breast pump components. It uses technology to remove milk residues and eliminate all sorts of odor. The liquid is made of natural ingredients and doesn't have phthalates, parabens, SLS, SLES or dyes".
  • Cleans baby bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers and breast pumps
  • Based on green technology
  • Uses natural ingredients
  • Free of phthalates, parabens, SLS, SLES and dyes
  • Quick rinse
I just started using this product a few days ago. Right away I noticed that my son's bottles were SQUEAKY clean! Breast milk is so oily that it took a couple of washes to get my son's bottles and my pump parts clean. I like that the bottle has a pump. I also like that the ingredients are all natural and are listed on the bottle. I haven't found any cons with this product, yet, except the price point.

Who wins this round of the product duel?
Dapple dish liquid- Dapple trumps the competition by a hair. This detergent leaves my son's bottles noticeably cleaner than the Palmolive brand. This dish detergent is the TRUTH! Dapple also has dishwasher pods, laundry detergent, and a variety of cleaning sprays.
